Peel the pears. To prepare the syrup, bring water
to a boil, add the sugar, and stir. Bring the syrup to a boil
and cook for 5 min. Put the pears in the syrup and cook for further 5 min.
After that remove from heat to cool down: |
To make the sauce, take a small saucepan, pour the wine into it,
add the lemon and star anise. Cook till the sauce is reduced to 1/3
of the original volume. Add the sugar and cook for 2-3 min. over
gentle heat or until the sauce is slightly reduced and thickened.
Remove the lemon and star anise from the sauce:

Pour the hot sauce on a hot plate, put the
pear in the middle and serve: |
