You can use any kind of
bread
but bread that is a
1 or 2 of days old easier to slice:

Fried bread best to cook it in a
separate pan. Heat a frying pan to a
medium heat and cover the base with oil or
melted butter: |

Add the
bread and cook for 2-3 minutes each side until crispy and
golden. If the pan becomes too dry, add a little more oil: |

|
|
|
You can
top
fried bread with whatever you like and
make a bruschetta (bruschetta is usually served as
a snack or appetizer in Italy): |
